History of SHEL

haikenov Law Experts (SHEL) was founded by Valikhan Shaikenov in January 2022, after 15 years of working and researching in Kazakhstan, Russia, the United States, the UK, and Germany, in response to a need for high-quality expert support on post-Soviet matters of law in cross-border disputes.

With the name Shaikenov he carries on the legal tradition of his family, 14 members of which have been judges, advocates, public prosecutors, investigators, prominent legal scholars, and practicing attorneys, including Nagashbai Shaikenov (1947-2000), the core author of 1995 Kazakhstan Constitution, and Aislu Shaikenova, a retired Supreme Court Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a fully practicing arbitrator and legal expert.
